How to locate your 10-11th gen Honda Civic

The Manufacturer Identifier and ECU Part Number are either stamped into the plastic case of the ECU or on a sticker on the ECU. The Bin File Serial Number is not visible externally, it is in the bin file inside the ECU.

As further identification Honda ECUs have a software revision number inside the ECU. This is usually a two or three digit number stamped on the 28 pin ROM, or main processor. Accord and Prelude ECUs can use a letter and number code.
