Purchase and assumption is a transaction in which a healthy bank or thrift purchases assets and assumes liabilities (including all insured deposits) from an unhealthy bank or thrift. It is the most common and preferred method used by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) to deal with failing banks.

You can use your Benefits Card at certain healthcare and non- healthcare merchants or transit merchants specified by your Benefits Plan. A healthcare merchant includes medical providers such as doctors, dentists, vision care facilities, and other locations that sell only medical services/products.

How do I check the balance on my Flex Card? To check your card balance, call your Care Team at 1-866-783-1444 (TTY: 711), weekdays 8 am–8 pm.

The expiration date is located on the front of your card. You can order additional or replacements cards online through your P&A account. The card is valid from the date of issue – no further action is required to activate the card.

Your Benefits Card* lets you pay for eligible expenses directly from your health care flexible spending account (FSA) instead of waiting to be reimbursed.

Where do I find my FSA balance? You may check card and account balances by logging into your account and it will be shown on the main dashboard.

Participants may use the benefits card to pay a hospital, doctor, dentist, or vision provider that accepts benefit cards. Auto-substantiation technology electronically verifies the transaction's eligibility according to IRS rules.

Is it a debit card or a credit card? Your Benefits Card is a debit card. You use it to access the money you set aside for your pre-tax purchases. When you make a purchase, the business will run it like a normal credit card.
