I’ve got 2 little girls who love having their nails painted. What’s more fun than having painted nails? Fancy painted nails! My mom has a really neat set of tools for making shapes on your nails and my girls love it when she uses it on them. We don’t have anything too fancy around here, but my husband (who is totally outnumbered by females in our home) & I came up with an easy solution!
Here’s what you’ll need:
– Nail polish (at least 2 colors)
– Label stickers (can be found at a dollar store)
– one of those scrapbooking hole punches that will punch a shape
(I love finding uses for the scrapbooking tools I bought long ago, before I started “digital scrapbooking” and making photobooks!)
Start by painting your nails.
Then get your punch & stickers:
Pick a shape (I went with a leaf here, in honor of Fall), punch the sticker, then stick it on your nail.
Paint your 2nd color over the hole in the sticker (this is a great time to let the kids help- it doesn’t matter how messy it is as long as it doesn’t go off of the sticker- it’s like a nail polish bib! 😉
Remove the sticker (it does not need to dry) & Voila!
Your options are only limited by your hole punches!
Hope you have fun with this easy tip & remember to include your kids!
Come by my blog, Raising Memories,
tosee what other fun things we’re up to- we’d love to have you! 🙂

What a great idea. So much better than taking your children to a nail salon. Nail salons have so many harmful chemicals that children shouldn’t be exposed to. Plus you get to have fun with your daughter!!

Cute! Have you seen the Konad/Bundle Master stamps? They are SO fun! The only downside is that my girls’ nails are still a bit small for some of the designs, but super affordable and I know we’ll have so much fun with them for years!
